Millworks is an environment for all its members to be able to enjoy and perform the work of art. It is our goal to provide a productive, creative and enjoyable environment for all its constituents. Collectively, we are comprised of some 95+ artists, photographers, and small business persons. It is therefore necessary that everyone be conscious of how their activities and practices may affect others. In the past, there has been an understood expectation for conduct. So there is no misunderstanding, it is necessary to state those expectations of conduct and practice.
Use of aerosol materials in the building causes fumes to be carried throughout the building. Please use the paint spray booth on the back of the building for this work.
Millworks is a smoke free facility. Smoking of any kind is not permitted in the building.
Use of non-prescription drugs and excessive alcohol is not permitted. It is in disagreement as to how one should conduct themselves and is in violation of local law. (Section 9b, Lease, Right of Entry to Conduct Business)
Children are the future artists of tomorrow. However, if accompanying a parent, children need to be restricted to each member's personal studio and not in common areas used by other tenants.
Music must be kept at a volume as to not interfere with others' work. Headphones are the preferable choice if possible.
Flammable solvents are to be used only in designated areas and stored in permitted flammable storage cabinets. (Section 25, Lease, Environmental)
Food items left in studios and bathroom trash dispensers attract mice and insects. Please dispose of these items directly to the dumpsters in the rear of the building.
Maintain clear access to all electrical panels in a studio.
Any auxiliary heat sources should be turned off when not in the studio.
Thank you for your consideration of all tenants at Millworks.
