Our History

Discover the Creative Hub at Millworks Art Studios: Where History, Art, and Innovation Merge
Nestled in a historic building dating back to 1902, Millworks Art Studios breathes new life into the legacy of "The McNally Architectural Millworks." Once a renowned architectural millwork company, McNally Lumber now serves as the inspiring foundation for a thriving artistic community.
In 2004, Marvin and Susan Katz recognized the site's potential for fostering creativity and transformed the property into the vibrant MillWorks. From 2014 - 2023, under the dedicated ownership of Scott and Sandi Mowrey, the mission has been to support art, education, and small business development in every way possible. MillWorks Art Studios offers a dynamic work environment for artists, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs alike. MillWorks was purchased by Keller Environmental Group in 2023 with a goal of revitalizing the Creative Hub and modernizing some of it's features, while maintaining it's historical charm.
Today, MillWorks Art Studios boasts multiple flourishing businesses and provides ample studio space for over 95 artists and small business owners. Committed to making a positive impact on the community, MillWorks is the perfect sanctuary for creative minds and innovative entrepreneurs to collaborate and thrive.
